The Thanksgiving weekend completed, how many people will now continue along their merry way and forget all those things that they were thankful for just 48 hours ago! Postings, pictures, written word thanking family, friends and a higher power for where they are today.
A steady hand and a happy disposition with a helping of positive energy and well being might just help. Too often and too easily we can sink into a “no-one gives a damn” kind of feeling. That’s not the case. Part of that feeling, I believe comes from lives that are too busy, too consumed by technology and losing touch with what is important.
We all need people in our lives that keep us grounded. Maybe there are times where you believe that you have nothing to be thankful for. If you feel a kind of emptiness, than start to process how you can turn things around and start on the path of identifying what you have overlooked.
I may not have written out all the things I’m thankful for, but to identify such things as; being able to walk or drive to work, talking to friends, meeting new people; enjoying our prairie when its chilly would take forever. Embrace each day, open your eyes and heart to all the good things that present themselves. It makes for a healthy and happy you.
