Singer Aaron Goodvin is keeping busy these days thanks to his new single on radio and you’ll find him in the studio hard at work creating a new record. You’ve probably heard his new song, “You Are”, occasionally on 620 CKRM. It’s a song about a guy falling in love and experiencing all the good things that come along with that relationship. He co-wrote the song with his buddy Brandon Hood and says there was a little bit of personal inspiration ingested into the song.
“We were talking about how we’re just kind of guys that are, you know, we’re still guys. We get mad about stupid things and we’re a little rough around the edges and I think that definitely played a role in this song,” smiled Goodvin. “We were talking how we do that stuff, but our wives somehow keep is all together and they just have their ways about them, so we tried to capture that a little bit.”
Goodvin says he’s working a new record which will include his latest song “You Are” and expects to be working on it until the end of the year. He’s hoping to have his latest project out in early 2019.
“I feel like I’ve been writing the best stuff that I’ve ever written and I’ve just surrounded myself with such great people and great great writers and I’m working with a new producer on this record so that’s always fun to get in there and get a little more creative than we were before, ” concluded Goodvin.
