I don’t know what it is about a leaf blower, but I just love playing with mine. Max loves it when I pull it out of the shed. He gets down on his two front feet until I get it all revved up and then he starts barking and running around the back yard while I blow leaves. Must be a guy thing!
I’m sure he wonders why I grab a ladder and head up on the roof when there are so many leaves on the ground that need to be blown and raked. He probably thinks I’m nuts, and he might just be right!
Blowing the leaves from the eavestrough is quit simple, seeing as we have a grate that keeps leaves from actually gathering in the eavestrough itself. Really, I’m just clearing the leaves from the grate. With most of the leaves now off the trees, I’m sure a windy day would accomplish the same thing, but that wouldn’t be nearly as much fun as walking around on the roof of our house.
Whenever I have to lock up the shed for the winter, that darn leaf blower is one of the things I miss the most. Here’s hoping I get a few more dates with mine before the snow settles in for good.
