The Regina Pats have evened their record on a three-game road trip through the Central Division at 1-1 after hanging on to defeat the Kootenay Ice Friday night by a score of 3-2. Robbie Holmes, Sergei Alkhimov (penalty shot) and Austin Pratt scored for the Pats who are now 2-6 on the season.
Max Paddock returned to the Regina net after missing the last two games with an upper-body injury. He stopped 29 shots including 13 out of 14 in the 3rd period as the Ice tried to force the game to overtime.
The Pats will finish the three-game trip Sunday afternoon in Calgary in a 2 o’clock start in a game you will hear on 620 CKRM.
The next home game is Wednesday versus Spokane.
