A Regina car dealership is doing its part to clean up the community.
Bennett Dunlop Ford and the North Central Community Association teamed up to clear garbage and debris in North Central Sunday.
David Kohonick, the dealership’s General Manager, said they covered a wide area.
“Basically, we do all the way from Albert Street up to Lewvan and from Dewdney up to 2nd Avenue.”
This is the eighth straight year Bennett-Dunlop has engaged in the cleanup efforts, having collected tons of trash. Between 2013 and 2017, over 135 tonnes of garbage and close to 13 tonnes of recyclable metals were collected.
Kohonick said this is an important event for them to participate in.
“One of the big things that we believe in is giving back to the community,” he said. “This is a great way that we can get a number of our employees and staff engaged.”
