Brandon Gandire, a second year defensive back for the Regina Rams, is facing charges after an incident on October 6.
Regina police say they were called to the U of R after reports of a fight outside “The Owl” bar.
Upon arrival, they learned about a fight involving a group of men. Some were treated for minor injuries by EMS, but police received no complaint. On October 9, police were told one of the men who had been involved in the fight had been sent to hospital with a report being received that day about an assault causing injury.
The 21-year-old Gandire has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with an undertaking. He has been suspended from all team activities.
Gandire will be in court November 29.
