Friday afternoon marked the end of the scholastic journey for hundreds in the Queen City.
700 students, along with their friends and family, gathered at the Conexus Arts Centre to celebrate their convocation.
One person in attendance was Dr. Elizabeth Bryce, who graduated from the University back in 1978, who had a simple message for the graduates.
“Be ready to take opportunities on as they present,” she said. “Don’t get too stuck into a routine. Think outside the box.”
Bryce, along with another professor at the school, was one of two recipients who received an honourary degree that day, something she called an honour.
“Regina has never left my heart, half of my family is still here,” said Bryce. “It means the world to be recognized.”
