Agriculture minister David Marit says advancing the economy is one of the key goals of the upcoming session of the Saskatchewan legislature.
The legislative session resumes Wednesday in Regina.
Marit says completing the fall harvest and improving the rural economy through trade are important goals this year.
Other opportunities he says include new technology and value added agriculture products.
Marit says the ministry of Agriculture is taking a major role in improving the rural economy through expanded crop and livestock research on the farm and at the University level.
