Former Saskatchewan Roughrider Justin Cox has been taken into custody.
Cox had been wanted on assault charges after an incident September 25 when officers were called to a home in east Regina after getting reports of a domestic assault. Upon arrival, they did find an injured woman.
Police say Cox was arrested without incident in a home on the 2000 block of Lindsay Street and did make a court appearance on the matter today.
Cox was let go by the Riders after domestic assault charges were issued against him in April 2017. While he was found not guilty on those charges, he was arrested and charged again in September of 2017 after two separate incidents. He is still dealing with those matters.
