To provide feedback on the future of EVRAZ Place.
The organization announced Wednesday open house sessions will be held at the end of October and November to provide people the opportunity to offer input on the direction of EVRAZ Place going forward.
“Our Vision 2020 plan is coming to a close at the end of 2020 and we know that a strategic plan takes time,” said President and CEO Tim Reid.
The facility sees around 3.5 million visitors a year and in this initiative, hope to engage at least 5000 people.
Reid noted they have to find ways to leverage tourist dollars for the community’s betterment.
“Major cities build arenas just to get 1.5 million visitors a year and we already have that visitation,” he said. “What we don’t do as effectively is we don’t move those visitors into the downtown core or into the Warehouse District or into other parts of our city so that they can generate opportunity for those marketplaces.”
