Last weekend I made my usual trip to grocery store, list in hand, grabbing all of the essentials we’d need for a sleepover with our granddaughters. I really don’t know why I take a list with me. When I get home I always seem to realize that I missed 2 or 3 items that I had written down. I have no idea how that happens. Whenever Amber, the owner at No Frills, sees me in the store she always asks if I’ve missed anything on my list. It’s like she’s known me my whole life!
Most of the time I’ll end up grabbing things that aren’t even on that darn list. One of the items that wasn’t on the list this weekend was Halloween candy, however that didn’t stop me from throwing a box of 100 mini chocolate bars into my basket. The reason I hadn’t purchased any yet was because I knew if I bought them too early, there wouldn’t be 100 bars in the box by the time Halloween came around.
How true that turned out to be. I don’t want to say how much my wife and I have dipped our hands into that box over the last 5 days or so, but let’s just say there are a lot less than 100 bars in that box as of this morning.
Looks like Halloween candy will be at the top of my list this weekend as I make another trip into the grocery store. If it’s the only item on that list, I should make out okay!
