When the Riders hit the field Saturday at Mosaic Stadium against the B.C. Lions, it looks like they will have one of their main weapons on offense back.
While he didn’t make it 100 percent official, head coach Chris Jones indicated Thursday Naaman Roosevelt would be on the active roster.
“It looks as if he might.” Jones said after Thursday’s practice. “There’s a fine line when you bring a guy off the six-game list to make sure that he’s healthy, or healthy enough to play in the game,” Jones said. “That’s the key. From what I can gather, it looks as if he will be OK.”
Roosevelt has missed the last four games with a knee injury. He has caught 48 balls for 570 yards and four TD’s.
A win or tie over the Lions would clinch a home playoff game. They will have the bye in the final week of the CFL regular-season. That game would either be the Western semi-final November 11 or the Western final on November 18.
620 CKRM will have Saturday’s game beginning at 2 o’clock with kickoff slated for just after 5.
