It is now official.
As first reported by 620 CKRM last week, Curling Canada has awarded the 2020 Scotties Tournament of Hearts to Moose Jaw.
The Canadian Women’s Curling Championship will be held February 14-23, 2020 with tickets going on sale early in the new year.
“We’ve been waiting for this announcement for a long time, and it’s exciting news to finally make it official,” said Kevin deDelley, who co-chaired the Moose Jaw bid committee with Joe Gunnis. “We’ve 16 months of hard work in front of us, but I know this city is ready to make it happen, and send curlers and fans home from Moose Jaw in 2020 with smiles on their faces.”
This will be the second time the event has been held in Moose Jaw and the sixth time overall it has been held in Saskatchewan.
Back in 2015, Jennifer Jones won the title defeating Alberta’s Val Sweeting in the final.
