One Regina organization is getting a helping hand from another.
Cultural Connections Regina, a new non-profit, has donated $100,000 to the Ignite Flame program at the Ignite Adult Learning Centre.
“This cheque is very important for Ignite,” said Chair of the Ignite Foundation Board, Mark Simmons.
The program is an 18 month program, which Simmons said gives young adults at risk the life skills required to be successful.
“80% of our funding comes from the private sector. So, the investors and the community investment are very important to the ongoing running of the Ignite Program.”
