CN Rail has set a new grain shipping record in Saskatchewan for the first 3 months of the new crop year.
Vice president Sean Finn says CN has moved over 3.2 million tons of grain since the start of the new crop year on August first.
Finn says grain shipments from Saskatchewan for the first 3 months of the crop year have surpassed the record set 2 years ago by 10 percent.
He says the improved grain shipments are due to an intense focus with more staff and equipment and track improvements.
He adds CN is geared up for a busy fall and winter movement and wants to avoid a repeat of last years delays.
