He says patients are waiting and people are dying.
Health minister Jim Reiter says the issue is taken seriously.
He says the province has increased the number of addiction beds and increased spending on treating addictions.
He says the province spends over 50 million dollars in addiction treatment.
He adds more will be done in the coming budget.
