The Regina Pats have been guilty of not playing sixty minute hockey this year.
That may have bit them again on Friday night as they were beaten 5-1 on home ice by the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Regina trailed the game 2-0 after two periods of play, but the Oil Kings scored three times including once with a two man advantage in the first 7:30 of the third to blow the game open.
Yorkton native Brett Kemp had a pair for the Oil Kings.
Jake Leschyshyn scored in the 3rd to end any hopes of a shutout by Edmonton goalie Dylan Miskiw.
With the loss, the Pats fall to 4-12 on the season. They are back at home Saturday to face Saskatoon in a 7 PM start.
