Crystal meth isn’t a problem strictly limited to Regina.
It’s something communities and law enforcement across the Prairies are dealing with.
Regina Police Chief Evan Bray addressed the matter this past week at the Board of Police Commissioner’s meeting, noting officers here are doing all they can in regards to enforcement.
“Our drug enforcement team really does do a good job of focusing on meth. Everything from supply to the demand and the consumption in the city.”
When someone is on meth, Bray said they tend to engage in several criminal acts.
“Very seldom will we charge someone with theft of auto, period. usually, there’s a litany of charges that go with it,” said Bray. “It’s usually that the theft of the auto is part of a bigger picture.”
