One of, if not the biggest, fundraisers in the province is now underway.
The 16th Annual Children’s Hospital Radiothon is taking place in downtown Regina.
The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan spokeswoman Brynn-Boback Lane noted this will be a big fundraiser, as it’ll be providing three dedicated pediatric surgical suites at the soon-to-be built medical facility in Saskatoon.
“This will include infusion pumps, patient monitors systems, pediatric defibulators,” she said. “These suites will have the capacity to serve over five thousand pediatric surgeries every single year.”
For Boback-Lane, the most exciting part of Radiothon is how it engages everyone.
“They can give a little, they can give a lot. It’s something meaningful to everyone where they can be involved.”
