The Saskatchewan economy was the topic of the day during Tuesday’s sitting of the Legislature.
NDP leader Ryan Meili noted Saskatchewan, outside of Atlantic Canada, had the poorest economy in the country in 2017.
“The Bank of Montreal predicts that Saskatchewan will have even less economic growth in the next two years,” he said.
That’s not the point of view of Premier Scott Moe, who called upon the province’s great credit rating, while retorting the NDP are offering nothing but higher taxes.
“He can talk about his $2.5 billion a year, $10 billion over a term of government that he has promised in his leadership campaign with no plan of how to replace those dollars.”
