Members of Saskatchewan’s Legislative Assembly and staff got tested Tuesday.
Personnel took the CanRisk test, which examined ones risk of having diabetes or developing type diabetes.
The test takes several factors into consideration, including blood pressure and weight.
“By using that, we can actually help people be a little bit more aware if they are at risk of development of type two diabetes,” said Gavin Bush, a Patient Advocate from Diabetes Canada.
Bush noted this is an important examination for some.
“There’s actually a lot of people who might be in that pre-diabetic stage or at high risk of developing type two diabetes and they might not know it.”
