Saskatchewan’s telecommunications authority is bringing it’s anti bullying mission to local schools.
Greenall High School in Balgonie was the host of SaskTel’s I Am Stronger rally, which aims to promote bullying prevention through online Education.
One of the organizations at Greenall, the Outdoor School Program, recently received a grant for their efforts in promoting kindness.
“We’d really help put an end to it, or at least, the people who are victims of bullying,” said participant Jenna Leader.
For the rally, a guest speaker was brought in to speak to students about the matter, something the school’s principal said was important, as she connected with them.
“Katia (Hildebrandt) met our students at their level,” said Jason Weitzel. “She didn’t come to blame and shame, but really, to have a conversation.”
To this date, the I Am Stronger program has awarded 73 grants across Saskatchewan.
