The CFB Snowbirds will have a chance to perform at their home base this summer.
Plans have been announced for the Saskatchewan Air Show which will be held July 6 and 7 at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.
The show’s director of operations is Major Regan Wickett. He says there is a sense of excitement knowing that the event is returning.
“We are thrilled out here at the base.” Wickett said. “The Canadian air show community as a whole are excited as are the performers and we are looking forward to putting on what should be a great show for the people of Saskatchewan”
Besides air performances from military and civilian flying groups, there will also be many aviation displays, a kids zone and other activities aimed at learning about the Royal Canadian Air Force.
It has been 14 years since the Air Show was last held at 15 Wing.
It is hoped that between 20,000 to 30,000 people will come out for the show.
