Regina Police is expanding its search for 19-year-old Promise Chuckwudum.
Police say Chuckwudum was last seen in the Marshall Crescent area of Regina on November 17th. He is described as a black, approximately 5’ 11”, about 240 pounds with a medium build and short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light colored sweatpants, and a dark-colored toque.
As part of the increased efforts, officers and members of Search and Rescue Regina are conducting a sweep of the neighbourhoods surrounding Marshall Crescent, which is in the Normanview community. Police say SARR search leaders can be identified by their orange vests, with neon green on the right sleeve. SARR members also have credentials that they’ll produce for homeowners upon request.
Regina Police says the event that owners and residents in this neighbourhood are not at home when officers and SARR members are in the area, it is asking all residents to take a few minutes to check their yards, outbuildings, fences and shrubbery to ensure that nothing has been disturbed or looks out of place.
Residents of the area can expect to see uniformed Regina Police Service members, walking from house to house and, in some cases, entering into yards to check to see if there is any sign that a person may have entered a shed, garage or other structure on the property.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477.
