Agribition goers got to experience the opening of the rodeo Wednesday night for free thanks to Mosaic.
The event featured various events such as steer wrestling, bull riding and the fan favourite mutton busting.
Rodeo fan Tristan Raffey said he thinks the free rodeo is a great chance to experience what it has to offer.
“It’s a good way to check it out and experience what it’s all about,” Raffey said. “I know cowboys and farmers get a bad reputation in regards to rodeos, so it’s good to see what really goes on and why it goes on.”
Raffey said there’s a few highlights he’s looking forward to for the rest of the week.
“The bull riding is always the best part of the show,” Raffey said. “It’s the big bang at the end of the show. I know Pro Rodeo is a big deal, so I think it will be a good show (for the rest of the week).”
Raffey said his Agribition experience has been good so far.
“Agribition is a great thing for the City of Regina,” Raffey said. “I like that there is a bunch of different opportunities for people to get here, via the bus or driving or whichever. It’s a way to bring the farm into the city.”
Rodeo action continues Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Agribtion.
