A 73 year-old Regina man is facing four sexual assault charges.
Regina Police says it does not typically include information about an accused person’s employment however, this is an exception where the individual’s profession places him in a position of authority over members of the public. Police say the mans was a practicing physician at the time of the alleged sexual assaults. Police say the first allegation of sexual assault was in July of 2017. A woman alleged her doctor sexually assaulted her, under the pretense of conducting a physical examination, in spite of her protests that the so-called examination was unnecessary and unwanted.
Through this investigation, in recent months, the investigator learned of three other women who had shared similar allegations, involving the same suspect, with another authority dating as far back as 2012.
Seventy-three year-old Sylvester Ukabam, of Regina, is charged with four charges of Sexual Assault.
Ukabam was released and will appear in Provincial Court on December 31.
