With 20 minutes to play, things looked good for the Regina Pats as they led the Medicine Hat Tigers 2-0, but it was all Medicine Hat in the third as they walked away with a 3-2 win.
James Hamblin completed the comeback as he scored with 1:30 to play to give Medicine Hat the win dropping Regina’s record to 8-20 on the season.
Sergei Alkhimov and Austin Pratt had the Regina goals. The goal by Alkhimov sent a barrage of teddy bears onto the ice as the game was the annual Teddy Bear Toss. The stuffed animals thrown on the ice by those in attendance were collected up and will be distributed by the team later this month at Regina hospitals to kids.
The Pats now hit the road for a trip into Alberta that starts in Edmonton Wednesday night.
