More people will have warm feet this winter.
Saskatchewan chiropractors collected 18,000 pairs of socks and raised $1,150 for the Salvation Army through the Toasty Toes Sock Drive in October and November.
The Salvation Army says socks are a vital and basic necessity that keep you warm and dry in the winter. The organization adds that many people don’t have access to socks and that makes winter very difficult.
President of the Chiropractor’s Association of Saskatchewan Dr. Kevin Henbid says the organization is very thankful for the support the community has shown for the third annual drive.
Over the past two years, the drive has collected 33,000 pairs of socks.
