A 20-year old and a 21-year old man were in a Regina courtroom Wednesday facing a variety of charges after an incident in the city’s east end early Tuesday morning.
Police say around 12:30 a.m., they were sent to a home on the 2400 block of Dewdney Avenue East after getting a report of a stolen vehicle being parked at a home. Two men exited the vehicle, and tried to get into a fight with one resident of the home while assaulting another member. When police arrived, the vehicle and suspects were no longer at the residence but officers located the injured victim. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS and treated for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation led to the location of the stolen vehicle and the two suspects were arrested.
Michael Morrissette and Tyler Pelletier are both facing charges of assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order. Morrissette was also charged with not stopping at the scene of an accident and possession of property obtained by crime.
