The latest crop production estimates for Saskatchewan show an increase in wheat production but many other crops are down.
Wheat production totals 14.4 million tons in Saskatchewan, with durum up 18 percent and spring wheat showing an 11 percent jump.
Wheat had lower yields but much larger seeded area.
Canola production fell 2.3 percent to 10.9 million tons, with an average yield up 1 percent to 39 bushels an acre.
Lentil production is down 18 percent at 1.9 million tons.
Barley production rose almost 10 percent, oats fell 15 percent, flax was down almost 10 percent and mustard seed gained 43 percent.
Soybean production in Saskatchewan dropped 52 percent to 232 thousand tons due to a 52 percent decrease in harvested acres.
