A jury at a coroners inquest hasn’t been able to determine what led to Brydon Whitstone being fatally shot.
The jury, composed of six people, announced their findings after spending the last week listening to testimony in the Battlefords Court of Queens Bench.
Jurors had the choice of ruling whether or not Whitstone’s death was a homicide or suicide, amongst other selections.
Neither were chosen.
The 22 year old Whitstone, who hailed from Onion Lake, died following an incident last October, after he lead police on a high speed chase and then collided with two RCMP vehicles. He refused to exit the car, despite orders from officers to surrender, and was then shot.
