The search for a University of Regina student from Nigeria is continuing and expanding.
Regina Police are saying they have met with the family of Promise Chukwudum, also known as Max, on multiple occasions to reassure them they are doing what they can to find him.
Police Chief Evan Bray said this continues to be a robust investigation.
“There’s a lot of work being done, Insp. Trevor Ewart is leading that investigation for our police service and I personally met (Tuesday) with the father and the sister of Max,” Bray said. “My heart goes out to any family that is searching for a missing loved one.”
Bray said the investigation is moving forward with the help from other agencies.
“We’ve been lucky to have a lot of help from community partners, other police agencies as well as the search continues, but right now, we have still not found Max.”
Bray said the search and investigation will continue through the holidays.
“We’re obviously a 24/7 operation and so our lead investigators in this that are working in our major crimes section have a lot of tasks,” Bray said. “Those tasks get distributed out through our police service, so there’s lots of work that’s going on in and out of the city, and it will continue through the holidays for sure.”
Anyone with information on Chukwudum’s whereabouts is asked to contact Regina Police or Crime stoppers.
