Looks like Saskatchewan will have a slightly white Christmas this year.
Environment Canada says the Christmas forecast is looking fairly mild. Forecaster Shannon Moodie says there are no major systems expected to move through the province over the next few days. “But what we do have is a lot of low cloud hanging around. In that low cloud we have some light flurries and there are a few patches in the cloud, more so going back into Alberta, in those patched the temperatures to drop quite significantly so there are some cooler temperatures around as well.”
Moodie says it’s a little early to look to far into the future, but the weather seems to be fairly mild into the new year. “We do have a Colorado low that will be developing on Christmas Day and it will be tracking north east through Boxing day and the 27th, but so far it looks like all the weather will be tracking towards the south.”
