A thank you is going out to Regina police and the many who helped in the search for Promise Chukwudum.
The body of the 19-year-old University of Regina student from Nigeria was found earlier this month after he went missing in northwest Regina on November 17.
A spokesperson for the family issued a release on Friday which paid homage to searchers, media and the police for their efforts which came to a sad end when his body was found with a positive identification coming earlier this week.
After the disappearance, many searches, rallies and candlelight vigils were held with the family hoping for any clue that would bring the disappearance to a happy resolution.
Police are still investigating the case to try and determine how Chukwudum got to where he was found, but at this time, they do not believe he was a victim of foul play.
