First off, Happy New Year! I’ve been on holidays the past few days and as much as it was nice to have a little time off, it feels so much better to get back at it and get set for an exciting 2019. I, like many over the Christmas break, did some travelling and you certainly couldn’t wish for better weather to drive through. As I get older I get less enthused about presents and more interested in the visit with family and, of course, the food! Lots and lots of food.
My Mom asks me every year what I want for Christmas. Every year my answer is the same; socks and underwear. I never usually get those items, but this year I was really banking on getting new socks because my current pairs have seen MUCH better days. Well, guess what? NO socks and underwear again. I’m getting to the point where I’ve considered old bread bags as a possible solution to wore out socks. I eat McGavin’s bread so I know they’re top quality bread bags. As for the underwear, well let’s just say when it dips to -30 on new year’s eve it’s a little drafty!
So it appears I’ll be doing a little shopping to start off 2019. Recommendations on good sock buying locations is much appreciated. Either I’ll have to buy new socks or eat more bread for the acquisition of more bread bags and judging by my growing waist line I think it’s best to buy the socks. Anyway, it feels great to be back in the on air chair today and back on some sort of schedule. All the best to you and your family in 2019!
