A high-profile murder case came to an end in Saskatoon Friday morning with David Caissie being found guilty of first degree murder in the death of Carol King.
King had gone missing in August of 2011 with her car being found in a slough four days later. Her body was discovered a few days later in a wooded area near where her car was found.
The 55-year-old Caissie, who wasn’t charged until five years after the death, is getting an automatic life sentence without the chance of parole for 25 years.
Court heard how Caissie had abducted King from her yard as she was going to her car. He then stabbed her to death before disposing of the car and the body.
