If the forecast holds true, Regina could break a record for the warmest January 3rd in history on Friday.
Environment Canada is calling for a daytime high in Regina of plus 5 as some warm air moves in from Alberta.
The daily high for this day was set back in 1898 when the temperature hit plus 5.
While the forecast is calling for temperatures to stay above the normal temperature of minus 11 for the next few days, we won’t see anything close to what we will see on Friday.
Moose Jaw and other places in the province could also set records before the day is over.
