Two Regina residents are facing multiple charges for stealing a car.
Early Wednesday morning, police received a report that a vehicle was stolen while it was left running.
RPS found the car at about 3:30am in the area of 7th Avenue and McIntosh Street when it stopped to let a woman out. Officers then arrested the woman.
The vehicle continued to hit a parked car on the 800 block of Cameron Street, then was abandoned on the 700 block. The Canine Unit tracked the man driving and found him on the 700 block of Robinson Street.
Investigation revealed drugs and stolen property as well.
26 year old Scott Pelletier is facing four charges including:
- Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Theft of a motor vehicle
- Failure to stop after an accident
26 year old Destiny Allary is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both made their first court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.
RPS is urging motorists to always lock their cars and never leave them running while unattended.
