FCC provides support for school meal programs across Canada

Regina-based Farm Credit Canada is providing $100,000 to school meal programs across the country as part of a Drive Away Hunger campaign.

Manager of Community investment, Carla Warnyca, said each of the 100 FCC offices across Canada will provide $1,000 to a school lunch program in their community.

She says each office will choose a school with a higher need for support in an effort to ensure no child goes hungry.

She says it is difficult for a hungry child to focus and learn.

Warnyca says FCC will also host tractor tours between October 8th and 18th across Canada to collect food and cash donations for the Drive Away Hunger Campaign for food banks.
