Free admission to Wascana Pool all summer long

Starting Thursday, Wascana Pool will be free to the public.

The City of Regina says with Maple Leaf being closed for construction this summer, it wanted to offer another option for residents cool off this summer.

City’s Janine Daradich says it is also an opportunity to celebrate Wascana Pool’s last summer before being closed for renewal. “The pool has been available to the community for over 70 years and we really want to celebrate our last season with the pool as it is right now.”

Daradich says not only is admission free, but transit to the pool will also be covered by the city for residents in the Heritage neighbourhood.  “We’ll be providing passes through the Heritage Community Association, as well as Thompson School.”

Admission will be free from noon to 8:00pm everyday until September 8th.

Wascana Pool will close at the end of the season and Maple Leaf Pool is expected to open back up later in the 2020 season.
