For those who like to keep track of this sort of thing, summer arrives tomorrow morning at 9:54. That’s right, after tomorrow, the days start getting shorter. Usually it seems like summer takes forever to get here, but with the weather we’ve had this spring it feels like it’s been summer for a while already.
Thank goodness for the much needed rain that finally came our way. It’s about time that Mother Nature took care of my water bill!
The arrival of summer always coincides with my two week vacation, which gets underway tomorrow morning at 10. Yippee! This vacation will find me taking a little trip to Lethbridge to see mom and dad, spending some fun summer time with our granddaughters, and puttering around in the backyard. What a perfect combination.
I’m not a big fan of winter, so summer always seems to go by a little too quickly for my liking. After my vacation it’s straight into Country Thunder Saskatchewan followed by the Queen City Ex. Before you know it we’ll be right back into fall, which, by the way, arrives Sept. 23 at about 1:50 A.M.
I can’t believe it. It’s not even summer and I’m already talking about fall.
What a Gloomy Gus!
