Regina police bust major drug operation in Core Neighbourhood

Regina Police have arrested three people in connection to a drug and firearms incident on Tuesday.

Police conducted an investigation into illegal trafficking, which led them to a vehicle stop on the 2000 block of Cameron street, where three suspects were arrested, and drugs as well as a large quantity of cash and a gun were seized.

From there a warrant was executed on the 900 block of 15th avenue, where more drugs, drug trafficking material, cash, guns and ammunition were found and seized.

In total, police found over two kilograms of meth, over 191 grams of cocaine, over 261 grams of fentanyl, over $25,000 in Canadian cash, and two firearms with ammunition.

39 year-old Robert Okabe, 33 year-old Kyle Hunter, and 30 year-old Stephanie Nameth are all facing 19 joint charges, with Okabe facing another four charges and Hunter receiving another eight.

All three suspects appeared in court on Wednesday.
