Canadian Western Agribition signs co-operation agreement with U.K. show

Regina’s Canadian Western Agribition has signed a co-operation agreement with a major cattle show in the United Kingdom.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was made with the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, Scotland and was signed during a recent trade mission to the U.K.

Agribition CEO Chris Lane said the co-operation agreement supports trade of goods and ideas between the agricultural shows.

“It also means we’re partners promoting trade between our two markets,” said Lane. “Anything we can do to help the producers on either side of the pond to make sure their programs are getting what they need, and that free flow of business and trade.”

Lane mentioned how Agribition has similar co-operation agreements with organizations in Argentina, Mexico and Australia.

The deal also symbolizes shared values between the two sides when it comes to areas such as the future of agriculture and the cattle industry, opening the doors for them to explore more opportunities in the future.
