The body of a missing Calgary man has been recovered from Smoothstone Lake.
RCMP say the mans body was found on June 30th on the shore.
Police, conservation officers and search and rescue had been searching the area since the man was first reported missing and presumed drowned on June 8th.
The original report said two friends were camping in the area when the 27 year old left the campsite to go fishing in the canoe. Police say he was not wearing a life jacket and the wind increased while he was gone.
Officers say a local fisherman found the canoe submerged in the middle of the lake.
The mans name has not been released and RCMP say the family was kept up to date throughout the search.
Smoothsltone Lake is about 175 kilometres north of Prince Albert.
