A two vehicle collision near Shellbrook has sent multiple people to hospital.

RCMP were called to the scene on highway 240, about 15 kilometres north of Shellbrook, where two passenger vans collided.

14 occupants were in the vehicles, 11 of which were taken to hospital with injuries, and five are in serious condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
