The Saskatchewan Airshow returned to 15 Wing Moose Jaw on Saturday after a lengthy hiatus. The first show in 14 years obviously had many people excited as there was a huge turnout. Unfortunately, the turnout was too many.
Due to the size of the crowd, some who had tickets had to be turned away as organizers stopped entry around 1:30 Saturday afternoon saying the move was done for the safety and comfort of guests. They add 25,000 people were at the show Saturday.
Those who had purchased a ticket for Saturday and were not allowed in can use the ticket for the Sunday performance, but organizers are adding they will only allow 20,000 in on Sunday with ticket sales closing sooner.
While the gates opened at 9 AM Sunday morning, performances don’t start until 11 with the performance of the Snowbirds happening around 5.
