Youth charged after bear spray attack

A 17 year old youth is being charged with assault and weapons charges.

Regina Police say on Tuesday at about 10:45pm, officers were called to a business on the 4600 block of Albert Street for a weapons offence.

A man entered the business and sprayed bear spray at the other patrons. EMS treated those affected.

Police add that officers received a report of a man causing a disturbance on the 2900 block of Ridgeway Avenue just after midnight.

RPS found the suspect and investigation connected him to the bear spray incident.

The 17 year old, who cannot be named, is facing three count of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.

He will appear in court on Wednesday.
