Regina Police have charged an 18-year-old man with aggravated assault, after another man was hit with a machete early Monday morning.

Just after 12:30 a.m. officers were called to the 1800 block of Halifax Street, the victim received medical attention on the scene and was then transported to hospital, his current condition is not known.

Eighteen-year-old Joseph Windigo was charged with aggravated assault and breach of an undertaking.

He’ll be in court Monday morning.
