A teen is facing multiple firearm related charges.

Regina Police say officers were called to a store parking lot on the 4400 block of Rochdale Boulevard just before 9:30pm July 23rd for a report of a firearms offence.

Police say two suspects robbed and assaulted a man, and as two people came to help the victim, one of the suspects pointed a gun at them before fleeing.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a 17 year old on Monday.

The youth is facing two counts of pointing a firearm and an armed robbery using a firearm charge.

He made his first court appearance Tuesday.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
