Regina Police have laid six charges against a 20-year-old man after he initially evaded officers Tuesday morning.

Just before 10:00 a.m. police attempted to stop a speeding vehicle near McCarthy Boulevard and 8th Avenue.

The vehicle began to pull over then sped away from officers before it was spotted on the 6100 block of Dewdney Avenue a short time later.

Twenty-year-old Alain Caron is facing charges that include evading police and possession of property obtained by crime over five-thousand-dollars.

Caron made his first court appearance this morning.
